Another great thriller from this author. This one delves into family life and how well does anyone ever really know their children. You think you do, but you never know.
It centers mostly around the Baye family. Their sixteen year old son starts acting strange. They are worried and decide to install a spy program on his computer to see what he’s up to. They end up finding a frightening message on his computer that says, “Just stay quiet and all safe.” Shortly after that he disappears and the story explodes.
There is also the Lorimans, Novaks and Lewistons involved in this story. It is amazing how the author ties the lives of all these families together in a thriller of a ride.
About midway through the book I found myself wondering how everything could possibly come together but in his usual way Harlan Coben brings this twisted plot to a conclusion that works and of course surprises us in spots. It also makes you sit back and wonder just how far you’d go to protect those you love. I think this is another book worth reading from Harlan Coben and would recommend it if you’re a fan of his and even if you’re not.
Hi Dar, thanks for visiting my blog. I’ll bookmark yours and visit again. I loved East of Eden. Hope you enjoy it as well.
I’m almost finished with Eclipse. I never thought I’d be reading a book involving vampires, etc – much less enjoying it! And I haven’t read a young adult book since I was one, LOL. I’m looking forward to the 4th book in August.
Your dog is adorable!
I just got a notice this book is in…Yippeee!
I’ve got this book from the library..I’ve never read any of Coben’s work but I coudn’t help checking it out after all of the raving reviews it’s received! This will definitely be included in my stack of books to take on vacation this weekend!
Well, I guess I didn't comment on this post. 🙂 As you know, I just finished it a couple of days ago and thought it was very good. I agree with your assessment.
Joy, I'm anxious for this year's installment. lol.
