Well, another good novel by James Patterson. Not as much of a thriller as it could have been but still a little on the edge of your seat kind of story.
This one is about the Dunnes. Katherine, the mom is trying to find a way to bring her family back together after their father had died several years earlier. She decides on a sailing trip, something the family used to do when her husband was alive. Along for the trip is her brother-in-law, Jake.
The trip is a disaster from the beginning-all kinds of things begin to go wrong. The dream vacation isn’t seeming very dreamy anymore. Then, in an even crueler twist, it gets worse. Back home, we find out what Katherine’s new husband, Peter is up to and that’s a twist in the plot itself.
Throughout this whole horrible ordeal though the Dunne family pulls together and starts mending family relationships. The novel leaves us asking if we ever truly know the person or people we’re with.
In true James Patterson fashion, the book is good. It kept me reading and wanting to know what would happen next. Because of this it was a fast read for me and I would recommend it to those who like Patterson novels and even those who don’t and are just looking for a bit of a thriller in between all the other stuff.
Ohhhh! I have a copy reserved at our library as soon as it’s processed in. 🙂 So glad you liked it.
