Oh, another challenge but this one is too good to resist so I won’t. Joy, over at Thoughts of Joy is hosting the 2nds Challenge, 2008. You can read about it here.
It sounds great. You have to read 4 books by new-to-you authors that since you read the first one by them, that you can’t wait to read another. I think this is great! It will run from September-December, 2008.
My choices are:
September-Promise the Moon by Elizabeth Joy Arnold
October-A Recipe for Bees-Gail Anderson-Dargatz
November-The yadayada Prayer Group Gets Down by Neta Jackson
December-Time of My Life by Allison Winn Scotch
Happy Reading!
I did this one last year and really liked it. At this point in the year, I don’t have any books on my list that would count. I need a thirds and fourths challenge! Have a great time. 🙂
This is a great idea – but I’m too swamped right now with current challenges. However, I would add Margaret Atwood to this in a heartbeat if I were to accept. And probably Doris Lessing. Philip Roth would count, too… And Gaiman?! (This might be easier than I think)
LOL. It’s tempting isn’t it…
Welcome to the 2nds Challenge, Dar! I don’t recognize any of your choices. They must be good authors if you want to read a second book by them. I need to get on the ball. *grin*
Thanks for stopping by Joy. I’m sure hoping that the second books I read are as good as the first. You know when you read a new author and the book is so good so you read another and it’s just blah-it’s so disappointing. I love finding authors I can stick with for a long time.
