This summer, after book blogging was patronized in the mainstream media, Amy from My Friend Amy made a suggestion that we celebrate book blogging. From that idea, Book Blogger Appreciation Week was born. Many of us have participated in interviews, contests, give-aways, and through awards; but, this would never have happened were it not for the dream, perseverance, planning, hard work and dedication of Amy. This has been a wonderful week and as members of the Book Blogging community, in one voice we want to thank Amy for all that she has done.
Amy, you are truly the Queen of Book Bloggers and we love you!
On a personal note Amy, you have truly made this week wonderful and I know we all appreciate all the hard work you put into making this week enjoyable and successful. I know for me I sure found a lot of new bloggers that are just wonderful. The interviews of bloggers and authors was great-I learned a lot about several of my favorite bloggers and new ones. So, thanks so much Amy!
Go Amy!
xoxo
I completely agree. Amy is awesome! I’m looking forward to settling in with a cup of coffee to catch up on some of the BBAW posts I missed when my laptop had to go to the computer hospital.
Shana, me too! I really missed a lot of posts but at the same time I need to get caught up with my reading. Computers having to go to the hospital is never a good thing-glad it’s home safe and sound now.
I have loved BBAW, but where was blogging patronized in the media? I must have been under my rock during that time and missed it. I can’t believe anyone would dare criticize book bloggers!
Me either Breeni but Amy did have an article way back before all the BBAW stuff. Book bloggers are awesome.
