Teaser Tuesdays asks you to:
- Grab your current read.
- Let the book fall open to a random page.
- Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
- You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
- Please avoid spoilers!
My 2 “teaser” sentences for today are:
“Father Sullivan was not a young man then but the light of Teddy’s youth poured down on him and everyone who saw them felt it. It was not so different now, only less metaphorical: the young man held him up.”
-From Run by Ann Patchett, p. 137
How about you ? Have anything to share from your current read?
I did Peter Pan.
I’ve got to read Run so that I can participate in a book discussion next week…thanks for the reminder!
bluestocking…I love Peter Pan.
yasmin, I’m reading Run for a book discussion on Book Club Girl next week-is that the same one for you? It’s really quite good so far.
Hey Dar…yep it’s the same discussion.
Hey lady–I saw over at Amy’s that you’re a winner for one of the books today! Congrats. 🙂
I’m glad to hear you like this book. I read Bel Canto several years ago and really liked it and have been afraid to read anything by her since (afraid it won’t live up).
Thanks Trish! The Patron Saint of Liars is really good of hers if you ever want to read another.
That’s a great quote. Run is next up on my TBR list. I’m also going to be participating in the Book Club Girl discussion.
Actually I have that one on my shelf!! I picked it up from a library sale a few months ago and totally forgot about it! 🙂
I’ll see you there Ruth.
Trish, give it a try when you have a chance in between all our other reading. lol.
Dar, I didn’t know you were reading RUN. I look forward to the review.
I adored Bel Canto. Not an easy book to read, but very rewarding and well worth the effort.
Haha – my book for this week is Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus…relationship advice, anyone?
Shana, I just finished Run. It was great. I have to get my review up. I think my next Ann Patchett novel will be Bel Canto or Magician’s Assistant.
Jo, it has been ages since I read that book. lol.
