Congratulations, Ramya, on winning this great-sounding book.

Dar, this is off-topic, but somehow I managed to lose your email in my live.com filing system, after I read it. Uggghhh. I need a new email system.

Anyway, I’m really curious to see what you think if you watch Nights in Rodanthe. For me, not having read the book, the movie seemed to go from point A to point B way too quickly. Maybe if you’ve read the book, you can fill in the gaps mentally even though the filler is missing from the movie? I’ve found that to be true when I read the book first then watch the movie.

Not sure how you feel about Diane Lane, but I adore her. She is a phenomenal actor and this movie was no exception.

However, with the exception of one person, the supporting cast was completely lacking. They didn’t ‘support’ at all. Gere and Lane had to carry the film and the others kind of dragged them down, IMO.

Let me know what you think of it. I think you’ll like it better if you’ve read the book first!

    Congratulations, Ramya!

Shana – My friend and I went to see Nights in Rodanthe and both of us were very disappointed! Neither of us read the book.
