Hi everyone, I changed the look of my blog last night. I really wanted a 3-column layout because I have so much stuff on there now. I loved my old template and if I can ever figure out how to get it in 3-column I will change back. I do love this one too as my favorite colors are on it. I hope you all like it and I didn’t throw anyone off too much. lol.
Also, here are a couple of fall pics I promised to share with Trish as she misses the fall colors. I’m still waiting on one tree in our backyard as it is absolutely beautiful when it changes. Hope you all enjoy.
I’ve got some housekeeping-awards and such to catch up on today so there may be a few posts. Have a great day everyone!
Lovely! (Both the trees and the new blog look. 🙂
Fall is beautiful!
WOW!! You guys have it much better than we do, it is all still green here….it feels like fall, but doesn’t look it at all. I love those pictures, fall is such a great time, it is my favourite baking season. yum.
Oh Dar.. Look at that.. the blog looks beautiful and the trees are lovely too. Welcome Fall.. our fall is a few weeks / month away… still pretty warm here in California. I love the blog! Good job.
Bethany, I miss the green already. Now, the baking is a good idea. I took some butter out for sugar cookies a while back-it may be time to make those.
I did a google search for “3 column blogger templates” and found one that showed you how to edit the HTML to create three columns in any blogger templates. It only took about 10 minutes to do. I was a little nervous since I’m not very comfortable with writing HTML, but it was pretty easy. I’ll see if I can find the link and I’ll email it to you.
Thanks Toni 🙂 I’d love to have your weather all year round but you already know that!
Jenn, that would be awesome if you could find that. I would like to go back to my old one eventually. I really liked the simplicity of it although this one is too.
A fresh new look, I like it.
I like 3 column themes too, it’s easy to put on many things on the sidebars that way.
and I LOVE your new look too! Great layout, it look super nice. I love the changes that changing seasons bring 🙂 sweetness.
ps those sugar cookies sound SO good right now…for breakfast!
Congrats on figuring out how to get three columns in Blogger!
Thanks Bethany 🙂
Thanks for popping in Violet. I agree, 3 columns makes it easier for people coming to your blog too if they’re looking for something.
three columns are the best, aren’t they?? there’s so much to put in~:) i like the new look as well!:) if you really want to have your old design back, i have the xml for the harbor template (3 columns)…shall send that to you by email!:)
Beautiful pics, Dar! You’ve definitely sparked envy thisaway. 🙂 I like the new look–I really want to get rid of my green but don’t know how. 🙁 I’m afraid I’ll lose all my formatting if I mess with it.
i love the way, you’ve filled your sidebars.. there’s so much to look at!:) you must have spent quite a lot of time on this last night:)
I love the idea of three columns, but I think it only works with one blogger template according to the guidelines I’ve seen and I dislike that template. LOL
I think your blog looks great.

Your blog looks great! I love the three column style because I find it easier to organize stuff then.
Beautiful trees too! I have been wanting to take a weekend and go to Cabot Trail, autumn is so gorgeous there 🙂
Blue and green are my favorite colors so I like the new look! Nice pics, too. I like the idea of 3 columns as well. I may start experimenting one of these days…
Ramya, thanks for sending me that info -I appreciate it! I did spend too much time on it last night. lol.
Trish, I like the looks of your blog. I understand wanting a change though.
Serena, the site I had used had the changes for a couple of the minima templates and the two rounders ones. Maybe they’ll get more eventually.
Book Zombie, thanks. I keep meaning to get myself out into our river valley-you can get some beautiful pics there. A walk along the Trail would be gorgeous I imagine.
Thanks Mary 🙂

Your blog looks great and I love the trees! I understand wanting 3 columns! I like my blog template also but would love to have 3 columns. If anyone knows how to do this and can share the infoplease send me an email at, Thanks!:
The blog looks great, Dar. I couldn’t do without 3 columns either. Even with it I have too much stuff on my sidebars, but I can’t seem to be able to cut back.
And the pictures are lovely 🙂
Bonnie, Ramya sent me a link that I’ll send to you and so did Jenn. I’ll mail them to you in a sec and you can take a look. I’ll send you the one I used but it’s limited in the templates it has.
Nymeth, I love the design on your blog-the header and colors are awesome. I have too much stuff even with 3 columns. lol.
Nice…love the look and the photos!
Thanks Yasmin 🙂

Nice pics, and love the new blog look! 3 columns gives you so much more room, right?
I use blogspot too but I didn’t see any 3 column templates. How did you do it?
Swapna, it really does give more room and I think looks better too. Glad you enjoyed the pics. I see I got my neighbors house in there too. lol.
Ti, I used this website for mine:
If anybody else is looking for a three-column Scribe template (which is the one I use), instructions on how to do it are here:
I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m thinking I might set up a dummy blog and try it on that first! (Of course, I will also back up my blog before I attempt this.) It looks a bit scary! And then I also want tabs, which I’ve recently seen somewhere…
Thanks Avis. Bonnie has the same template as you. That’s what I did-set up a dummy blog. No way I was going to fiddle around on mine until I knew it worked. Hmmmm, I like the tabs too-good way to keep organized.

I like the look – 3 columns works so well when you have lots to put in the side bar. Beautiful tree pics too

Ohhhh, love the tree pics. It’s cooling off here but everything is still pretty green.
Dar, love the new layout!
Thanks Shana and MrsS. I’m liking the new look-I’m getting used to it now. Shana, it’s even more yellow out today-it’s going faster now.
I can’t thank you enough for the info on the 3 column layout. It took me a few attempts to get it right but I have 3 columns now! My colors are the same as yours but yours looks so much better. Mine is still a work in progress.
Ti, your welcome. I just went and took a peek and yours looks great. I love the 3 column look.
The blog looks good! Love those fall pics.
Thanks Chris 🙂 And thanks for popping in, hope you do again.
