Newsy Post

October 28, 2008 by Darlene

Hi everybody, I just wanted to thank all of you for your well wishes and prayers for my Dad. He came out of his surgery good. He had a knee replacement so they have to watch for infection, blood clots and such-I guess the next 72 hrs is critical for him. I was at the hospital all day and just came home for some dinner and will head back for a few more hours. I thought I would get all this reading done while he was in surgery but to be honest I was too worried even to read. So, not sure where I’ll be for Thursdays noontime chat but hopefully I’ll be able to get some reading done tonight and tomorrow.

Anyhow, I will answer comments tomorrow. For today I just stuck them in a separate folder. I think I may be a little too tired later for the computer but I didn’t want any of you to think I’d forgotten you.

Again, thanks for the well wishes and prayers. They are greatly appreciated.

I hope your dad makes it through the next 72 hours unscathed. I have a hard time reading in hospitals. They are too nerve racking.

Thanks to all of you for your prayers and hugs. You all are so great. Dad was able to get up today and move around so that’s good. They’re giving him some pretty good pain killers though so he’s in la-la land most of the time (he doesn’t do pills well). So, we’ll see. He probably has at the minimum one more day in there.

Bree, I’ve been reading and then post about what I think of the book and such. J. Kaye is really awesome with coming up with the questions and videos-my weakness. I think we balance each other out nicely.
