Teaser Tuesdays (Oct 14.)

October 14, 2008 by Darlene

TEASER TUESDAYS asks you to:

  • Grab your current read.
  • Let the book fall open to a random page.
  • Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
  • You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
  • Please avoid spoilers!

My 2 Teaser Sentences for today are:

“My lady, we must take you to a place of safety at once. There are crowds of people chanting at the gates. ” The soldier stole an uneasy glance at Ramesses. “Some believe that Princess Nefertari has had something to do—” ***from The Heretic Queen by Michelle Moran, page 204.

Ok, I know that’s more than 2 sentences but it wouldn’t have made sense any other way.

So, how about you, have any good teasers to share with us this week. Join in the fun!

    Hi Dar,

So nice of you to visit and comment on my blog, thanks!

“The Heretic Queen” sounds like a good book for my 18yo daughter, she loves learning about ancient cultures. There are two books though, yes?

    softdrink-lol, I hadn’t thought of that.

Veens, I just finished it and it was great.

Wanda, thanks for popping in. Yes, there are two books-the first is called Nefertiti and while you don’t have to read the first to read the second, I think it helps.
