Giveaway of Broad Street by Christine Weiser

November 14, 2008 by Darlene

Well finally I’m going to have a giveaway for Broad Street by Christine Weiser. I really enjoyed this book as you can see by my review here. I’ve got two copies to give away-one brand new and one very gently read by yours truly.

The rules:
  • For one entry, leave me a comment.
  • For two entries tell me if you’ve ever had a dream of doing something different with your life-like starting a band for example. (My dream would have been going to nursing school. I love caring for people. Unfortunately I went to business school instead-lol).
  • For three entries, blog about this giveaway and spread the word.

I’m going to draw for two winners-the first on the list from Random. Org will get the brand new copy and my copy will go to the second on the list. I’ll also open this giveaway worldwide (I probably won’t do this often as it can be expensive but I will make a point of doing it for some of my readers like Veens every once in a while). I will draw for a winner on November 22. Good luck everyone!

Your review convinced me…I’ve GOT to read this book!

I’m going to assume that my dream of being Catwoman doesn’t count. How about my dream of buy some property, building some guest cabins, and opening a resort?

Ahhhhh….that’s what lotteries are for, right?

I actually wanted to be a roadie for a band when I was in my late teens, that and a cocktail waitress at the bar down the road so that I could listen to the local bands. Yeah, I know, nothing like setting the bar low.

This book sounds great. I’d love to be entered.

I was a vet tech major in college before I switched to a double major in English and Sociology. Sometimes I think I should go back to school and finish up those vet tech courses. But only sometimes because I really don’t want to to back to school and take tests again!

About 10 years ago I thought it would be fun to open a coffee shop/bookstore.

More recently I seriously considered starting a spa as a partnership. Well the partnership part fell through so it has been put on the back burner for awhile. So I’m still an accountant!

I also posted your contest on my sidebar.

Wow, what a question! And you know it’s not too late to go to nursing school…yes, I know I know. Hmmm…I think if I had the talent and the voice I would LOVE to be on Broadway doing musicals. I love them sooooo much! Haha. How’s that? (and don’t tell anyone I said that!!). πŸ˜‰

When I was younger I dreamed of being in an orchestra, but that didn’t happen. As an adult I have dreamed about going to grad school, but then I remember how much work college is, and how much I love being at home with my boys, and I’m content.

Have I ever dreamt of doing something different…well heck yes! Wanting to go to Law School during the middle of college; acting in the local theatre and moving to HI right after college graduation. I dream all the time, some I act upon and some I let drift. Yet Dar, I can see you as a nurse…go back to school!!!
    Thanks

Well I always thought it would be neat to have a doggy daycare, although i’m sure it will never happen lol! Growing up I wanted to be a ballet dancer (or any type of dance for that matter) but I ended up going to school to work with children.

I have had my eye on this book and would love to be entered, it sounds like so much fun, I guess especially because it relates to your question-
I always had a dream of being a rock star. It’s a total fantasy because my singing makes my dog howl but being a rock chick seemed to fit my personality.
