Teaser Tuesdays asks us to…
- Grab your current read.
- Let the book fall open to a random page.
- Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
- You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
- Please avoid spoilers!
My 2 teaser sentences today are…
“A hand reached out to Ruth’s will count for nothing, compared, but Greta reaches out anyway and touches Ruth’s hand. And withdraws. It is almost like touching someone already dead, so remote.” —from Exit Lines by Joan Barfoot.
great teaser dar 🙂

Sounds creepy…? Definitely a good teaser!
Naida & Trish, I'm just starting this one. It did sound kind of creepy didn't it. lol.
eerie no?!
Very interesting!
really great teaser
definitely creepy..:) curious about the book though. what is it about?
I haven’t read Joan Barfoot in such a long time! I’m looking forward to reading your review of this one. It does sound creepy!
Veens, it does seem creepy doesn’t it.
jo-jo, kylee-thanks for popping in. I love reading the teasers on everyone’s blog although usually it increases my tbr list.
Avis, this is the first Joan Barfoot book I’ve read. I’m looking forward to it.
Ramya, I’m just starting it but it’s about a bunch of folks in a retirement home who just aren’t ready for retirement yet. It says that the book weaves comedy into the most serious subjects humans can deal with. It really does sound quite good and I’m anxious to get into it.
Like everyone else has said, very good teaser, Dar!
Wow – now that’s a teaser!!
wow..the description is quite a teaser in itself..:) let me know how it goes..:)
i am reading a horribly disgusting book that i got from Library Thing.. what is the give-up page? is 68 too early? i just want to drop and never look back at it!
Nymeth, I hope the book will be as good as the teaser.
April-lol.
Ramya, what book is it? And no, that’s not too early to dump it. Life’s too short to have to read what you’re not enjoying.
I love it, Dar. It made me want to look up Exit Lines on Amazon and see what it’s all about!
Shana
Literarily
Shana, I haven’t gotten too far into it yet but I’m liking it. I like the first character I’ve been introduced to.
it is “falling off the catwalk” by reincke.. and yeah.. i am going to stop reading it! as you say, life’s too short to spend reading books i don’t want to read!:) thanks!:) makes me feel better about not completing that one:)
Ramya, I hope you stopped reading that book and started something else much more enjoyable!
what a teaser! What’s with Ruth?! I read thru the comments so I can see a bit more about the setting. Excellent description by the author (good choice on your part!)
Dawn, I’m really curious to see where this book is going. I’ll get back to it Monday. Of course I’ve started something else in between. When I picked that teaser it even made me more curious about the direction this story is going to take.
