The 2009 – 100+ Reading Challenge

November 10, 2008 by Darlene

J. Kaye from J. Kaye’s Book Blog is hosting the 2009 – 100+ Reading Challenge and I’m going to go for this one. I’m pretty sure I’m close to 100 books for this year so I don’t think it will be too much of a problem for me to actually accomplish this one. I like this challenge because all the books I read will count towards it which makes it a whole lot easier.

If you’d like to join in the fun, click here to check out the details and rules over at J. Kaye’s Book Blog.

I might have to do this one, too, since I won’t have to name specific books.

Kathy, that’s what I really like about it is that I don’t have to pick anything specific-anything goes.

Thanks Lezlie and vice versa too. I’ll be cheering you on although I’ll probably need it more than you. lol.

Thanks J.Kaye. You can’t be too far off your goal, are you?

    I have 38 more to go. That’s 4 a week (if I added correctly) and I don’t think I can make it.

Yikes, 4 a week is pretty steep with everything else you’ve got going on. Do your best-that’s all we can do I think.

Very impressive! I don’t think I could get to 100 unless I switched to YA and cut out the classics, but I really admire all you gals (and guys?) who can! Go Dar!!

Trish, I can probably get to 100. Geez I hope so anyway. lol. I’ve managed to miss one whole month of classics-what an embarassment. I think I’m more prepared for challenges now than before-yours was my very first.

Veens, you’re probably smart to do that. I’ll very likely be pulling my hair out trying to catch up around November.

Well I must say that I am impressed! I know I wouldn’t have a chance of completing this challenge…but more power to those of you that can!

Jo-Jo, it should be fun. I had counted back in August I think and I was already at about 60-70 books so I think I’ll be able to make it. Either way it’s going to be cool to keep count and know for sure.

    Nymeth-thanks 🙂
