Giveaway of The Little Giant of Aberdeen County by Tiffany Baker

December 1, 2008 by Darlene

Courtesy of Miriam at Hachette I have 3 copies of The Little Giant of Aberdeen County by Tiffany Baker for a giveaway. I’m really excited about this one because this is one of my favorite books of the year and I got to read it with one of my best friends Toni, from A Circle of Books. You can read my review of it here. It’s a great debut novel by this author and well worth reading. It’s being released January 8, 2009.

For the rules:

  • For one entry just leave me a comment here. Remember to leave me your email address if you do not have a blog.
  • For two entries-and this is completely off topic but Christmasy-have you started decorating yet.
  • For three entries, blog about this giveaway and spread the word.

I will draw for a winner on December 8, 2008 and Hachette will send you your book. This giveaway is open to US and Canadian residents only, no PO boxes please.

When you’re done here, make sure to head over to Toni’s, A Circle of Books because she too is giving away three copies of this fabulous book! Thanks again for a great chat Toni and I hope we do another soon! Good luck to all!

I would love a chance to win this.

My decorations have been up for awhile now. I sensed that the weeks would fly quickly so I got them up early so I could at least enjoy them for a bit. My neighborhood is slow to catch on though.

I would LOVE to read this. You and Toni have me very interested in this book. My decorations have been up for a little over a week now. This is the earliest I’ve ever put up my tree, etc. I knew once I went back to school I wouldn’t feel like doing it.

I don’t decorate anymore. My children are married now with their own families. We usually get together at their homes because they have more room. I also have two cats that would destroy any decorations I put up! lol

OMG, I want this book so bad! I tried to get an advance copy through Shelf Awarness, but without success.

I’m not doing any X-mas decorations up because I don’t really celebrate Christmas. We excange gifts through the mail with my husbands family. They all live very far away. We also go to my brothers on Christmas Day and have the big dinner but don’t exchange gifts. My brother and i were both raised Jewish, but neither of us practice that or any other faith. We do believe in being good people though!

I blogged about your wonderful giveaway here:

EVERYONE has been talking about this book! And can I say – I just love the cover! Oh, and yes, we’ve been decorating. The lights are up outside, all the nativity scenes are safely out of the toddler’s reach, and we’ll probably be getting our tree next weekend. 🙂 THANKS!

I wish I had my decorations up, especially outdoors. A few weeks ago we had a beautiful week with warm temps and I knew I should have done it then. 🙁 Now we have cold and snow but everyone else has pretty lights up already. At least I get to look at theirs until I get motivated enough to do mine. I always seem to do that chore by myself.

I’ve been wanting to read this book! Please include me and I’ve added it to my blog. Thanks for another great contest!

As far as decorating for Christmas, I finally bought a little table top tree and I will put up window lights and a door wreath. That’s about it. (it’s just me now so I can get away with being lazy 😀 )

As to your question about decorating–my husband and I spent the Saturday after Thanksgiving decorating for Christmas. We don’t have tons of decorations, but it was fun to decorate the tree. Hubby was in charge of the outside lights, and I took care of the tree!
