Booking Through Thursday: Inspired

January 22, 2009 by Darlene

Since “Inspiration” is (or should) the theme this week … what is your reading inspired by?

My reading is inspired by many things. First and foremost it is inspired by the books themselves and the authors who can put these wonderful works out there for me to enjoy. I love that a book picks me up from my world and deposits me squarely in another. They are my escape.

Secondly, I am so inspired by the blogging world and the wonderful group of people I’ve met through it. I’ve always been a voracious reader but now with blogging I’ve met others just like me and I love it. My blog inspires me. I want to try to bring good reviews to the people reading and make it a place that they like to visit.

Reading brings people together with a common bond of books. What could be more inspiring than that?

I totally agree about being inspired by the books themselves. If it weren’t for that, well, I’d probably watch more TV. 🙂

    Great answer, Dar!

I get a lot of inspiration from other bloggers as well–not only to reach beyond my normal boundaries but also to write better reviews. I don’t know if my reviews have gotten any better or if they’re just longer, but it’s funny to look back at my first few months of posts.

I agree with you. Books themselves inspire me as well. i also like to find out more about the authors of book I just read, sometimes their lives or some details from them seem like the last piece of the puzzle

Bonnie, thanks. Your blog is one of my faves-you know that.

lilly-I agree. Sometimes knowing more about who wrote the book makes it even more inspiring.
