On Tuesday night, my bookclub The Page Turners were lucky enough to be visited by author Kate Jacobs. Kate is the author of The Friday Night Knitting Club, Knit Two and Comfort Food—all of which I enjoyed a great deal.
Our book club has been together for almost 6 years now—online although a lot have met in person. This was our first author visit so of course we were really excited and we all loved The Friday Night Knitting Club and now the sequel Knit Two. Kate was so real and friendly—she made all of us feel at ease with her. It was just like she was a regular part of our very chatty group. It was nice to be able to ask questions first hand as to why things were written a certain way and to discuss how much her books remind us of our very own special circle of friends.
So, thank you Kate. You really made our evening and it was a lot of fun! You can check out Kate’s website here.
I’m glad you gals had such a good time and really does add a new element to the author’s work. Just last month our group talked with Megan Crane and we had a blast!
Dar, that’s great! So how does your online book club meet? Where was Kate Jacobs? Am I just confused? That wouldn’t be unusual, lol.
Jo-Jo, it was really fun especially as we’ve never done it before.
Mary, we chat via Yahoo so Kate just joined us on there. lol-you’re funny.
It was a memorable Night Dar for sure.
that is so cool! i’ve heard good things about this book.

Oh that is so nice that you got to chat with the author.
Sounds like a lot of fun!
It was awesome to chat with Kate Jacobs and yes this book Knit Two brings out thoughts of our very own book club the Pageturners

WoW Dar, that sounds great. I still haven’t had the opportunity to read Friday Night Knitting Club – but it’s up there in my list. I want to get to it within the next 2 weeks.
I really wish I was part of a book club.
Wow! that sounds great.. i have the book on my wishlist and want to read it soon.. but my TBR pile this year is insane!! I should really stop going to the library and getting books until I finish the ones at home! Howz your reading been this year??:)
How neat, Dar! I hope to get to the first one this year.
I haven’t read either of her books, but I’ve heard nothing but good things about Kate Jacobs’ writing!
How fun that you were able to chat with the author online; sounds like she was a very welcome addition to the discussion.
Just got this book a couple of days ago, can’t wait to read it! Any openings in your book club???
I’ve had Knit Two sitting on my shelf for awhile now – I really need to get to it!
