Hello, I’m back. I logged off for a while to take a nap in the hopes I would rid myself of my headache. I didn’t fully succeed but it’s better than before. I had some dinner, cleaned up and now I’m settling in on the couch downstairs with all my goodies and the dog of course. On tv is What Women Want which is perfect as I’ve seen it dozens of times and it shouldn’t distract me except for that bathroom scene maybe. lol.
So, I thought I’d share where Buddy and I will be spending at least the next 5 hrs and after that we’ll probably head for bed and read there(ignore the mess!). As you can see he is already on his blanket although he’s already moved to right beside my feet. Here is also a picture of my goodie table for the night. There is also yogurt in the fridge and some cookies I didn’t put out and must go get. One never knows what they might be craving.
Here is my progress. Not great as I was sleeping.
- Pages Read: 30
- Pages in Total: 234 (pathetic)
- Time Spent Reading: Didn’t keep track.
- Time Spent Blogging: zero
- Blogs Visited: zero
I think I’m going to visit a few blogs before I get back to reading. I’m hooked on Mistress of the Sun but I think I’ll finish the chapter I’m on and move on to Too Hot to Handle-I need something chick-lity for a while. Hope everyone is doing well with their reading and having fun!
This isn’t a contest – as long as you’re having fun, it’s a success.
Sounds like you are all set for round two! Don’t worry. I haven’t been wracking up the numbers either– too many distractions. But I am getting more reading done than I have in a long time!
Have fun!
Just got back from the cabin a little while ago. Cooper is newly bathed and sacked out too!
Looks like you’re all set to go for awhile. Good luck!
You know, the evening is my most productive time to read. Go Dar! You can do it!
I hope your headache goes away soon. Those are the worst when you’re trying to read.
Serena is still at my house. We’re trying to concentrate with The Girl running around and the men watching baseball. We’re having fun, though. I’m still on the same book I was at 10 am, and I’m not too thrilled, but what can ya do?
Hope you have a good rest of the night! You can do it girl!

I am reading with my trusty canine friends as well 🙂
Your progress is great! Just enjoy the journey.
I see follow me in your pile…that’s in my pile for read-a-thon, but I think I will have to read some shorter books after I finish this one. Good luck with reading…
Looks like Buddy is ready to settle in for the evening…just have fun, you’re doing great!!
That’s too bad about the headache! Hang in there!
You’re doing great and as long as you’re enjoying yourself that’s all that matters! I spied some Smarties amongst your goodies – yum – perfect snack for reading 🙂
I’m glad your headache is at least a little better! Maybe now you can settle in with your snacks and Buddy and get lots of good reading in! Good luck!
GASP! Do I see Smarties?? I LOVE them so much but can’t get them in the states. 🙂 Every time we go visit family we stock up.
Don’t let the page number get you down. You’ll get there.
I’m so sorry about your headache. I hope you feel better soon, but it sounds like you’re doing a great job regardless. Just have fun with it!!
I soooo have the munchies now and not a chip in the house. Looks like you’re all set for some quality reading time, go Dar!
Goodnight Buddy …
Oh yeah, I finished Tomato Girl, a very satisfying read!
oh Buddy looks really tired. I am impressed to see you kept going even with a headache.
I like the movie What Women Want 🙂

I love the picture of your snack table – you were prepared for anything 🙂
Buddy especially got comfortable once we got all set up here. He stretched himself out alongside me and I couldn’t move. lol. I never did get rid of that blasted headache that night.
Thanks for your support and encouragement!
