Hours 9,10,11&12: Read-a-Thon Progress

April 19, 2009 by Darlene

Hello, I’m back. I logged off for a while to take a nap in the hopes I would rid myself of my headache. I didn’t fully succeed but it’s better than before. I had some dinner, cleaned up and now I’m settling in on the couch downstairs with all my goodies and the dog of course. On tv is What Women Want which is perfect as I’ve seen it dozens of times and it shouldn’t distract me except for that bathroom scene maybe. lol.

So, I thought I’d share where Buddy and I will be spending at least the next 5 hrs and after that we’ll probably head for bed and read there(ignore the mess!). As you can see he is already on his blanket although he’s already moved to right beside my feet. Here is also a picture of my goodie table for the night. There is also yogurt in the fridge and some cookies I didn’t put out and must go get. One never knows what they might be craving.

Here is my progress. Not great as I was sleeping.

  • Pages Read: 30
  • Pages in Total: 234 (pathetic)
  • Time Spent Reading: Didn’t keep track.
  • Time Spent Blogging: zero
  • Blogs Visited: zero

I think I’m going to visit a few blogs before I get back to reading. I’m hooked on Mistress of the Sun but I think I’ll finish the chapter I’m on and move on to Too Hot to Handle-I need something chick-lity for a while. Hope everyone is doing well with their reading and having fun!

    This isn’t a contest – as long as you’re having fun, it’s a success.

Sounds like you are all set for round two! Don’t worry. I haven’t been wracking up the numbers either– too many distractions. But I am getting more reading done than I have in a long time!

    Have fun!

Just got back from the cabin a little while ago. Cooper is newly bathed and sacked out too!

Looks like you’re all set to go for awhile. Good luck!

I hope your headache goes away soon. Those are the worst when you’re trying to read.

Serena is still at my house. We’re trying to concentrate with The Girl running around and the men watching baseball. We’re having fun, though. I’m still on the same book I was at 10 am, and I’m not too thrilled, but what can ya do?

Hope you have a good rest of the night! You can do it girl!

I see follow me in your pile…that’s in my pile for read-a-thon, but I think I will have to read some shorter books after I finish this one. Good luck with reading…

Don’t let the page number get you down. You’ll get there.
