June was a pretty good month although with that wicked migraine for a week and a half I fell behind in what I wanted to get finished. Hopefully I can pick up the extra couple of books in July. I managed to read nine books which seems pretty standard for me. I sure wish I could manage more but that’s ok. Here’s the list for June…
- Best Intentions by Emily Listfield (338 pgs)
- In Over Her Head by Judi Fennell (347 pgs)
- Last Night in Montreal by Emily St. John Mandel (247 pgs)
- Secrets to Happiness by Sara Dunn (277 pgs)
- The Painter From Shanghai by Jennifer Cody Epstein (408 pgs)
- The Good Mayor by Andrew Nicoll (340 pgs)
- The Walking People by Mary Beth Keane (392 pgs)
- Rude Awakenings of a Jane Austen Addict by Laurie Viera Rigler (289 pgs)
- Beach Trip by Cathy Holton (406 pgs)
My favorites were Rude Awakenings of a Jane Austen Addict and The Painter From Shanghai.
So, onwards to July. I’m almost done a book I’m reading so July will start off perfect with a review right away. I hope everyone has had a good month and that July will be even better. Tomorrow is Canada’s birthday! Yahoooo!
You've a great reading month, Dar!
Almost all women authors this month.
Great list, Dar. A few of those are on my TBR list and I hope to read them soon.
Despite all my time off of work, June turned out to be the slowest month for me. I guess I really do depend on those audiobooks to get all the reading done that I want! Nice job for you this month!

What a nice selection – you had a good month despite the headache!
We had several overlaps – my favorites were LAST NIGHT IN MONTREAL, THE PAINTER FROM SHANGHAI, and RUDE AWAKENINGS.
Well done Dar on your success in reading this month.
What a great list of books! Even with a migraine you read a lot!
Here's my list:

You had a great month, Dar! I read Best Intentions and Beach Trip as well and am looking forward to reading The Painter from Shanghai. Have a great July!
I can't believe you have your wrap up posted already! I haven't even started thinking about mine. You read some great books this month – we only shared Beach Trip – but I have a couple of the others in my review stack!
you did great for June. I just finished up Rude Awakenings.

Too bad about the migrane but you still made out pretty well. I don't post monthly updates because they are so dang pitiful! 🙂 My overtime at work is hopefully over, though, so I should be getting a little more reading and blogging done. Woohoo!
Hope July is even better for you.
You did great for June! Here's to another wonderful reading month in July!
Good month — and nice list.
Wow, great month. I have to go back and make a list of mine.
Rude Awakenings sounds very interesting.
Thanks everyone for your comments on my June wrap up.
Lenore, I think I do read a lot of women authors as a rule. You have me curious now to take a closer look. lol.
Trish I'm glad things will be slowing down for you. It'll be nice to see you around more again.
Congrats on a great month! Hope July treats you well. 🙂
