Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill over at Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.
I am most definitely anticipating reading Crossing Washington Square by Joanne Rendell. I read her first novel The Professors’ Wives’ Club last year and just loved it. It will release on September 1, 2009 by NAL Trade. Here’s a bit about it from Amazon.com…
A story of two strong-willed and passionate women who are compelled to unite their senses and sensibilities, from the author of The Professors’ Wives’ Club.
Professor Diana Monroe is a highly respected scholar of Sylvia Plath. Serious and aloof, she steadfastly keeps her mind on track. Professor Rachel Grey is young and impulsive, with a penchant for teaching relevant contemporary women’s stories like Bridget Jones’ Diary and The Devil Wears Prada, and for wearing her heart on her sleeve.
The two conflicting personalities meet head-to-heart when Carson McEvoy, a handsome and brilliant professor visiting from Harvard, sets his eyes on both women and creates even more tension between them. Now Diana and Rachel are slated to accompany an undergraduate trip to London, where an almost life-threatening experience with a student celebrity will force them to change their minds and heal their hearts…together.
Make sure to check back closer to the release date for my review. How about you? What can’t you wait for? Share in the comments or leave me your link.
Hi Dar:
Here's mine:

Happy Reading!
I'm always impressed that you are waiting on something. I find out about the great reads months after they come out!
Dar, this does sound good! I'll be waiting for it, too, but I do still have her first book to read in the meantime!
I have The Professors' Wives Club sitting in my TBR stack. I think I won it in a giveaway. I still haven't gotten around to it. This second one looks terrific too.
What I can´t wait for: a few days ago I commented on a new blog which seemed interesting. Two days later the new blogger had wormed my mail address out of one of my acquaintances. He had seen that I expressed an interest in his literary debut (a crime novel), and wrote to offer me one for free – just because of my blog comments.
I'm seriously adding this one to my list like right now!!! I want to read it!!
Sounds really good. I haven't read Rendell, but I'll have to keep and eye out for this one.
This is going on my wish list too!
I'm looking forward to reading this as well Dar. I enjoyed Ms. Rendell's first book.
I can't wait for the new Outlander book!
Nice pick, Dar. I'll be watching for this!
I am interested in seeing your review on this book. It seems like a compelling read. I hope you enjoy it!
Hey, Dar! I have never read this series. It looks like a good one. I am glad you are waiting on it, or I may not have known about it.
Sounds like a good book! 🙂
This is a new title and new author for me. I'm glad you enjoyed the first book. I'll jot both titles down.
Thanks Dar.
Great pick! This one is going on the list…thanks for putting it on my radar!
