Teaser Tuesdays (Aug 4)

August 4, 2009 by Darlene

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My teasers for today are…

  • ‘”Yeah, but I would take a broken arm right now over all this. A broken bone, you slap a cast on it, it heals, and you’re done. With this…” Ana dropped her head. “She’s driving me crazy.”‘ (pg 81, Damas, Dramas, and Ana Ruiz by Belinda Acosta)

How about you? Do you have any teasers to share this week? Leave me a comment with yours or a link to your post so I can check them out. Have a happy day everyone!

"I don't lie, Owen had said, with the same flat certainty someone else might tell you they didn't eat meat or know how to drive. I wasn't sure I could even fathom it, but I still envied Owen his easy bluntness, the ability to open himself out into the world instead of folding deeper within."

Great section you chose to read, it really makes we wonder abou the rest of the book!
I'm going to try to remember this mem next Tuesday because I'd like to participate.

You have an amazing blog! I cannot get over how many giveaways you offer, how many reviews you do, authors you interview and so on etc. You're amazing and filled with energy….do you have a secret?! I'm hoping to be able to do half as much with my blog once I get organized, adjusted and settle down. I'm still trying to figure out how to do things, looking around to see what I like and get some reading in too!

    Thanks Dar!
