Sunday Stuff and Pic of Buddy

October 11, 2009 by Darlene

Morning everyone. It’s another cold and blustery day here with a little bit of snow as you’ll see in this picture. Because I’m lazy and didn’t want to get cold I took this from inside the house – lol. I’m so not ready for snow and it’s much too early. Normally we don’t see snow till the end of October so everyone is hoping that we still have a bit of nice weather coming up. I don’t think I’ll have any pretty pictures of the leaves this year though because we’ve gone from frost to snow and there wasn’t anything in between. Everything is green but frozen.

I managed to get a pic of the Budster for you all this morning although I don’t think he was too happy with the whole process as you can see in this picture. I think it’s because he can’t have any treats yet so, in perfect doggie sense, he figures why should I do anything those humans want?—I’m not getting anything for it! I did give him a little bit of his food and he was happy enough with that. In this picture he is sitting and waiting for me to sit down so he can jump up on my shoulder and look out the window. He’s pretty furry right now because I can’t give him a haircut. He gets pretty worked up because he doesn’t like haircuts so I have to refrain from doing anything that will upset his tummy. In that sense, it’s a blessing that it’s cold out or he’d be much too hot.

Other than that nothing new to say. I’m staying in and staying warm although I may venture out to the store for a while. It’s Thanksgiving weekend here but it’ll be a quiet one for us. I hope to get a lot of reading done today. I wasn’t much in a reading mood yesterday and I thought I’d read when I went to bed – NOT! Instead I fell asleep with the lights on, the tv on and the dog stretched out beside me. lol. So today I have to buckle down and get something done – of course the laundry is calling to me as well.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend and for my friends in Canada – Happy Thanksgiving. I hope you have a wonderful day celebrating with your families. On that note, what is everyone up to today?

Awww, look at buddy! he's just so cute. I can see why you love this doggy so much.
On a side note, I am not ready for snow either and I hope I won't get to see it where I live for at least another month.

Happy Thanksgiving to you, Dar! We got snow here yesterday – waaaay early here too! Had to take Hannah to get a winter coat and boots. Thought we had plenty of time, but the weather decided to surprise us!

Buddy is looking so adorable! It sounds as though he is doing better, also, so I am so glad. Give him a big old puppy squeeze for me!

Happy Thanksgiving! I imagine hubby and I will have a quiet Thanksgiving ourselves come the end of November. That's the plan right now, anyway.

I keep waiting for the promised rain which never comes and here you have snow. I don't blame you for staying indoors to take the photograph. LOL

Buddy looks good even when he's not so pleased. 🙂

I am hoping to spend a good chunk of today reading. We'll see how that pans out. Have a great week, Dar. I continue to keep your dad and Buddy in my thoughts and prayers.

    Happy Thanksgiving!!

We finally have some color here, but it froze last night and a ton of the pretty leaves dropped.

It's great to see Buddy again. I hope he stays feeling better so he can get some treats soon 🙂

I cannot believe it was close to 100 degrees down here today, and you have snow! I think I would like to have something in between! That sweet little doggy looks like he would be happy to cuddle up and stay inside with you. A perfect reading friend. Have a great, restful holiday Dar!

    Happy Thanksgiving!

I'd feel sorry for you about the snow except we got anywhere from 3.5 to 5.5 inches here (depending on which side of town you live on). Fortunately the roads and sidewalks were still too warm for it to stick!

Happy Thanksgiving to you too Dar. I'm glad to hear Buddy is on the mend.
I believe the snow already! We had no power since early morning and it was starting to get mighty cold. Hoping it stays on this time. Mind you it was a perfect excuse to NOT do laundry and sit and read by a window!

I love the photo of Buddy! I stopped reading in bed a long time ago because I've found that I can't stay awake more than a few minutes (which might be saying something about how sleep deprived I am).

We had our first freezing temperatures this morning, and I agree that it seems much too soon for that.

Happy Thanksgiving Dar! I hope that the snow has melted and it warms up for you guys. It's definitely way too early for snow! I'm so glad to hear that Buddy is improving, love the picture of him!

Beautiful pix! I love snow pictures. (My name is "Snow" and I've played around with it a bit, naming a blog "Snow Impressions," with a snowy header of my granddaughters.)

The dog is adorable and he just oozes attitude!

Buddy is so handsome! So sorry to hear that he and your dad haven't been feeling well.

Yuck – snow! Our trees are beautiful and at their peak here in western NY state but we are having cold temps too with snow in the forecast soon. I'm not even near ready for this weather!

Enjoy your day and happy reading!!

Snow already! I would be so excited! I just want it to get cold enough here in NC so that I can start wearing my sweaters….

Buddy is so cute, tilting his head like that. He looks like such a little character.

I managed to get some reading done yesterday…I am very proud of myself!

Buddy is adorable! I wish it was snowing here, but no such luck in Florida. It has been 96 with a heat index of 100 for the past two weeks, and it's driving me crazy! I hope you had a really happy Thanksgiving and that you are getting a lot of resting and reading done!

First, I LOVE the new look, Dar. I like the brighter colors over the dark ones that you had. Very lovely.

Poor little Buddy, but I'm glad to hear that he's doing a little bit better.

And yuck to the weather! We've been a lot wetter and colder than normal and I hope it isn't foreshadowing of a really cold and wet winter. No snow for us, though–hope you guys warm up a bit.
