Sunday Ramblings & Pic of Buddy

January 31, 2010 by Darlene

Good morning everyone. It’s a snowy and cold morning here again. A nice day to curl up with a book and stay warm. I think about all I’ll do today is some laundry, plan something for dinner and hopefully get my posts ready for next week. The rest of the day I’m devoting to reading so I can get more books read in February than I did in January (which I need to post).

Today I’m reading Talking to the Dead by Bonnie Grove which I’m enjoying. Yesterday I finished Keeping the Feast by Paula Butturini which is a memoir and it was fantastic. Watch for my review on Tuesday for her book tour with TLC Book Tours. I’m also halfway through Specials by Scott Westerfeld and while I don’t think it’s as good as the other two I’ve read, I’m still hooked.

I got a few pictures of the monster this morning. I tried getting a picture or two yesterday but he was having none of it. I don’t think he likes his picture taken anymore. He’s getting cranky in his old age.

This first one is him having his morning cereal. He’s like a hoover with it; nose to the ground and he doesn’t even breathe until he’s eaten the last one.

This one is after he’s done his cereal. You can see him licking his chops! Yummo!

Now he’s just vegging on the living room floor staring at me like I still owe him something. Mommy trimmed him his hair a bit too and he’s none to happy about that either. Nothing new about that. lol.

So, what’s everyone else up to today? Do any of you have any plans or just taking a day to relax and enjoy? Whatever you choose to do I hope you have a wonderful day and a great week ahead!

Darlene

Happy Sunday and hope your week goes well. Buddy is very adorable in his pictures Dar and on Sunday it is DH work at home on company laptop day and myself spend the day curled up with my pets and a book to read. The weekend started off with sunshine yesterday so went furniture shopping and ended up with new REAL WOOD book shelves instead. Cannot wait until they are delivered, set up, filled and pictures taken next week to share with all the world!!!!

Right now going to fix something for the inner beasties as our stomachs think we forgot them!!

It's snowy and cold here too — the last time I checked in, it was about 16 degrees F. Definitely prime reading time!

Buddy does look a bit grumpy today, but it wouldn't be Sunday without pictures of him. You will have to bribe him for next week.

Laundry? Thanks for reminding me that the chute is full. Better get going on that or the kids will be pestering me all week wondering where various items of clothing might be found.

I swear I think laundry breeds at night because I am never, ever caught up. It is kinda cold down here in Florida today, so I think hot tea and book sounds like a great idea! As always, love the pictures of Buddy!

We went and froze our patooties off at Snowfest today. The snow and ice sculptures are very neat but everybody looked like walking popsicles. Brrr!

I had forgotten that I was doing laundry until I read your post. Thanks (I think) for the reminder that I need to go put it in the dryer.

Hope you and Buddy are having a great day!

I've heard lots of good things about Keeping the Feast. It sounds like everyone is really enjoying it! I need to spend the day reading too but laundry keeps getting in my way.

Hello there, Buddy and Dar! Buddy is looking good!

My weekend had been crazy busy. I need a longer one. Time to go sourcing for a potion in Wonderland that will make the weekend longer.

Buddy looks like a centerfold in that last picture. We actually had a little snow here Saturday, but I missed it because I was in Alabama.

Hope you enjoyed your peaceful and restful Sunday. Buddy looks great! Short bangs are always a good thing. Tell Buddy it's fur and grows back 🙂
    Have a great week.
