Good morning everyone! I hope this Sunday finds you all doing really well. I haven’t been around the blogging world much this past week as Buddy wasn’t feeling his best again. Not bad like before thankfully. I took him in to the vet on Friday and he’s taking a bit of medicine so hopefully that will take care of the problem and it won’t get worse.
I don’t have much planned for today. I hope to get lots of reading done and bake some cookies; maybe tackle some laundry. We’ll see, really I’m going to fly by the seat of my pants today and do whatever I feel like at that moment. Our weather is pretty good right now although cold. I’m grateful not to be getting the piles of snow others are right now because I’m much too familiar with that and we really have no room for more snow already. The piles in the backyard are pretty high now.
I’ve got a few reviews I hope to get posted this week so look out for those. Today I think I’m going to read more of Roses by Leila Meacham which I’m still really enjoying. Maybe a bit of Cane River and Ted Dekker’s new one called The Bride Collector which I’m just itching to get in to already. Oh and I have a bunch of giveaways to draw for. I hope to get all those done today as well.
Last but not least I’ll share a picture of my mom with Buddy. I’m sure some may be horrified that he’s on the table (nobody eats at that table by the way) but he’s spoiled and every once in a while he loves to lay up there and everyone goes out of their way to indulge this little guys whims.
So, what are you all up to today? Catching up on chores, going out, or perhaps reading a good book – let me know! Have a great Sunday everyone!
Darlene
Dar, LOVE the new look!
You can send some of your snow this way if you like. My kids have built 1 snowman so far this season and that was back in early December!
As far as reading goes, I'm determined to finally finish the book I started waaaaay back in January at some point before my head hits the pillow tonight.
Oh bless him. Buddy looks super cute sat at the table. I hope you have a brill day.
Sweet photo. I love when I have a day like yours with nothing specific planned –enjoy Dar
Hello my dear! So sorry the Buddster is sick again, give him kisses for me.
I can't wait for you to read the new Ted Dekker! You know how much I love him. I will be eagerly awaiting your review.
We still only have a couple inches of snow on the ground! It has been a very strange winter this year.
Get well soon, Buddy!
I have just watched Inspector Barnaby on tv so now I plan a long blog tour around the world. Afterwards I hope I will have time to finish a caper crime.
Sorry to hear Buddy's under the weather again …keeping my fingers crossed that the medicine takes care of it quickly. You day sounds just perfect to me!
Dar, I love your new look. It has a warm and cozy victorian feel to it. I'm so impressed at how you can make all these wonderful changes to your blog. Sorry to hear that Buddy wasn't feeling well again this week. Hope the meds help. He is one spoiled little boy…such a nice picture of your mom and buddy! Enjoy your day, I'm hoping to read and spend some time with family today. I may do some baking or try a new recipe.
Buddy is a cutie, and I'd let him do whatever he wants too! BJ says woof and agrees! Hope Buddy starts to feel better!
As far as reading, I'm glad you are enjoying Roses! I've been debating about this book and have heard almost all good reviews, except for one. I can always trust your tastes though, so I think I'll put it on my reading list now! And I've got that Ted Dekker book sitting on my nightstand to start too! And it sounds great!
Have a great rest of the week!
hi dar, I love the new header!!! I think flappers are beautiful and that picture suits your blog.
Sorry Buddy isnt well. Hope he feels better soon. Cute pic!
Enjoy your Sunday, i'll be home reading and relaxing as its freezing out.

I'm glad to read that Buddy is better; he looks cute in the photo.
This is good weather for reading, well, any weather is good weather for reading LOL

We went skiing 🙂 Lovely warm and sunny weather today for once
Buddy – spoiled? No way! Vance lets Milou sit on his lap when he's eating at the table, so she thinks she should get to do that all the time.
Glad Buddy is feeling better. My dogs don't get much of a chance to get up on the table, but my cats can go wherever they want–they are spoiled rotten!
Poor little Buddy! I hope he starts to feel better. I would let him sit wherever he wants. He looks pretty pleased with himself in that picture!
Well, my day started off fantabulous. I got a migraine, then took my meds for it, they made me dizzy and woozy so I had to call in to work. And for some reason my public library's system isn't letting me log into my account so I can renew a book that is now overdue. So, yeah, it's been great. 🙂
I so hope that Buddy is feeling better soon! And…who says he can't be on the table..poor dear should be able to take his comfort wherever he wants to! Have a super day Dar!
Aw, love the pic of your Mom and Buddy. He is so cute! I hope he feels 100% very soon. Maybe he's like me – sick of Winter!!! 😛 I read Cane River a few years ago and liked it. Roses is on my wish list. I read another great review of it today. Have a good week, Dar : )
I hope Buddy starts to feel better soon. He's such a cutie!!
Cooper would be trying to eat those bananas on the table. He loves them.
I'm reading The weight of Heaven today and enjoying the Celtics game before the hubby takes over the TV with the Superbowl. Charlee is off at his bath with Cris, and I get the run of the house and the tv.
I know what you mean about spoiling the dog. I do it all the time. 🙂
Buddy is always so cute! I hope that he feels better!
I am going to make a quick trip to the bakery to get some peanut butter cookies. They make different cookies fresh each day, and Sunday is PB cookie day. I love them so much, and am feeling in need of some indulgence after a hectic week.
Tell your mom I said hi. Sorry that Buddy is still a bit under the weather. Hope he gets better soon. And glad you didn't get socked with snow 🙂
Have a good week and the laundry will wait until tomorrow.
I'm sorry to hear Buddy's been down in the dumps again this week. Hope he perks up soon.
I just love your pup, Dar! Who cares if he's on the table! Your mom looks sweet:)
Hugs!
I hope the cookies turned out great! 🙂 I'm not doing much today; taking it easy and watching the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet at the moment! Those dogs have nothing on your Buddy though!
I hope Buddy is feeling better.THat is such a cute pic!
I've curled up on the couch a bit this weekend, reading and rewatching Lost with my dogs. One of my dogs got groomed this weekend so she smelled so good!
I find nothing gross about Buddy being on the table!!! Sounds like a perfect Sunday to me!! Hope you enjoyed it!
Aww hugs to Buddy. My chocolate poodle, Annie, has a pretty little pink pillow that she perches upon while I am typing at the pc. People laugh at how spoiled she is, but she is just like one of my children, she just happens to have fur.
Today, I am just trying to catch up on choirs and I am going to finish up a book I have been reading, Prayers For Sale. I am hoping The Help, will be available tomorrow at the library.
Have a great day,
Cheryl
I hope Buddy is feeling better now.
Hope you and your family have a great week ahead, Dar!
Cookies?!? You read my mind. 😉
Hope you had a relaxing day!
Oh, it's been so long since I've managed to bake cookies. Thank goodness for Pepperidge Farm!
hello…..its my first visit your blog……glad to know your blog and i hope you'll visit me back ok..thanks before….
Love that picture of your mom and Buddy! I hope Buddy is feeling better now. You take care too.
Love the pic of your mom with Buddy. As an animal lover permitted to share this space with my cats, I'm not at all horrified that Buddy is on the table! He looks very comfortable and at home there!
I hope the meds are helping him and he's feeling better.
You are reading quite a variety of books, it's nice to have different genres to choose from depending on your mood. At least, that's what I like and it's how I read. Sometimes it seems to take me longer to finish just one book then, but when I finish 3 or 4 about the same time, it all works out!
I hope you have a good week, Dar.

Hope Buddy is feeling back to his old self today! He and your mom both look sweet! Darcy and Sophie both like to get anywhere higher so they can see everything better (they think). They don't want to miss anything!
Made it into town to church, ran some errands, got lunch, did some reading in the truck. Got a new bale of hay out for the horses.
It is snowing again here. Maybe 9 inches by Tuesday nite. We too don't have alot of places to push it anymore. Some of the gravel roads are like trying to drive thru a tunnel!
Have a great week!
Ooh, cookies. That sounds good. I hope Buddy's feeling better.
I hope Buddy feels better soon. All I did yesterday was stare out the window at the mounds of snow and curse winter. LOL

I will admit that Bandit has been on a table from time to time….
Ahhh, I LOVE the picture of your mom and Buddy, Dar!!! So adorably sweet.
I wanted to tell you that I love your blog's new look!!! Very sassy, lol! It sounds as though you are reading some great books!
Hope you have a great week and give Buddy a pat and squeeze for me!
Your blog looks terrific Dar! It's always fun to change things up.
So sorry Buddy isn't feeling well but I hope his medicine is helping. He is a cutie and of course he should be spoiled! That's what our pets are for, aren't they? 🙂
We were supposed to have a nice relaxing food fest for superbowl but The Hub invited people over without telling me so imagine my surprise when they showed up and I was in my jammies! Not the Sunday I had envisioned. PLUS they had small children so I ended up playing referee as they were too young to play with my daughter and she was being really bossy!
I really enjoyed Cane River when I read it and I hope you do too! I will be excited to see your review of Roses as well, I hear it's an excellent read. I am also familiar with animals on the table, as our cats love to lounge there any chance they get! I hope you have a lovely week and get lots of books read!
What a great pic… Say hello to the momster and the budster!!
