Sunday Ramblings & Pic of Buddy

April 4, 2010 by Darlene

Good morning – well I guess afternoon now.  How is everyone today?  I woke up without my migraine so I am very happy.  It’s cold out but still nice.  I can’t wait until it gets warm enough for sitting outside.  It’s still much too cool for that unless you really bundle up and that pretty much takes the fun out of it.   I just got back from taking Buddy for his walk and almost froze – lol.

Not much happening here.  It’s a quiet weekend.  I may head out to the bookstore in a bit which is always dangerous.  Then I hope to get my book finished.  I’m reading Mistress of Rome by Kate Quinn and it’s quite good.  Tomorrow will be a review of Sugar by Bernice McFadden and a little surprise to go with it – that was a good book.  Next up this week yet is The Queen’s Pawn by Christy English.

I managed to get a picture of Buddy for you all although he was none to cooperative.  He sure is getting to be particular as he gets older.  When he was little he loved the camera and would keep doing whatever he was up to.  Now he stops dead in his tracks and sits down when it comes out.  It’s getting very frustrating.  He’s a bit better with his eating this week except in the morning but I’ve found a way around that kind of – I mix Special K in with his dog food and he goes to town on it.  He does try to pick out the cereal only but it’s impossible not to get food with it too.  What a little bugger.  Anyhow this was as good as I could get today.  Buddy says hi!

So, what are you all up to for Easter?  Spending it with family or just quietly like we are?  However you’re spending your weekend I hope it’s a great one!

I'm glad your migraine is gone. Milou's gotten so she looks away when I try to take her picture – I wonder if the flash bothers her.

Since it's just the two of us, I think we'll go out to eat with friends tonight.

    Happy Easter, Dar!

Buddy is so darned cute, I just want to eat him up! We had a wonderful sunrise Easter service, then made a huge breakfast for the family plus a friend. We played out at the pool (sorry to rub it in…you should come to Florida where you need sunblock!), and now we are all sleepy from being up so early!

    Happy Easter!

At least you don't have a migraine today. The certainly wouldn't make the holiday any fun. Maybe some candy will make sure it stays gone. 🙂

Coop says woof, woof to Buddy! He'd share his Pupperoni from grandma, but we're a little too far away.

    Happy Easter :=)
After relatives and dinners today was the day for rest, lovely

Buddy looks like he's smiling! Bailey usually gets up and walks away when I point a camera at her, lol.
I'm glad you're feeling better, Dar. We've had temps in the 70s the past few days so the shrubs are budding out and the tulips, while not in bloom, grew a few inches in the past week.
We had 2 of 3 kids home and my husband's mother came over for dinner today. NIce and quiet. My son and his wife were at her family's celebration.
I hope you have a great week. I'll watch for your reviews!

Cute picture of Buddy against the colorful rug.

I guess you didn't get the summer weather we did this weekend. Cooling off, now, though.

Nothing special for Easter. Once the kids moved out, I kind of stopped celebrating it. Kylie is with her other grandparents who are more devoutly Catholic than me!

    Have a migraine-free week!

    Happy Easter!

Quiet around here. Just finished dinner. Hopefully I can get some reading done before bed. Anxiously awaiting your review on Sugar. I've been thinking about reading it for some time now.

Cooper in Mississippi says hello to Buddy. He's currently asleep under the dining room table 🙂

Funny that Buddy likes Special K – we used to mix in a little 'people food' to get our dogs to eat more, too. We had a nice Easter breakfast here, then dinner at my sister's. Now we're back home for some reading and blogging -Happy Easter!

Glad to hear your are migraine free today; that has to be awful.

Hope you enjoyed your Sunday and have an awesome week. I did not realize the iPad was not released in Canada yesterday as well. (It does look pretty darn fun).

Happy Easter to you and Buddy, Darlene!

Happy to hear that your migraine has gone away. I know how marvelous it is to awaken post-headache, pain-free, and how grateful it makes me for all the little things I didn't notice when my head hurt.

May you always be free of pain. And my goodness is that a cute dog!

Waking up without a migraine calls for a cheer or two. Buddy looks adorable (as usual).

I had a real do nothing day. I wandered around, sort of antsy but didn't accomplish one darn thing. No reading even!

Oh yes, a trip to the bookstore is always dangerous. I succumbed on Sunday when I entered one and came out with 5 books; thus, effectively broke my book-buying ban…

I love that picture of Buddy!

I'm glad you are feeling better and that it seems like you had a great Easter. Charlee was going to town with all his begging since Anna and her family were over for dinner. Boy is he spoiled.

Happy Easter Dar! I am glad that your headache is gone, but sorry to hear that it's so cold and dismal around there. I also love the picture of buddy on the beautiful rug, he looks like such a cutie! I hope you have a great week and get some awesome books read!

That is so funny that Buddy likes Special K! Glad your migraine is gone. I dealt with one of those a couple of weeks ago–which was immediately followed by an abscess on a tooth. Long and painful week.
