Monday Ramblings & Pics of Buddy

June 14, 2010 by Darlene

Hi everyone, I’m a little late with my Sunday posting so it’s going to be Monday Ramblings this week. I’ve been suffering with a migraine that refuses to completely leave and I just wasn’t up to being on the computer this weekend.

Our weather has been beautiful this weekend though. Very sunny and hot. I didn’t sit outside much though with the headache although yesterday I did get out more but in the shade. Buddy loves sprawling out on the cold cement step and keeping an eye on things.

I didn’t get any reading done this weekend except for some Sunday night. Currently I have a few going: The Carrie Diaries by Candace Bushnell, The second story in the Brothers of Gwynedd and Green Darkness by Anya Seton. I’ve been working my way between the three although Green Darkness is really starting to capture my attention more.

Look for reviews this week on The Fixer Upper by Mary Kay Andrews which I really enjoyed. I love her writing style and have a few more of her books on my shelves to look forward to. I will also have a review up of Souvenir by Therese Fowler- another book I really enjoyed.

This pic coming up is of Buddy on Saturday night. I had washed his face and he was busy giving those pillows the what-for.

The next two pictures are of Buddy’s new haircut which he got on Sunday along with a bath. He had way too much hair for how hot it was on the weekend and even this week is going to be fairly warm. He was a very good boy for his haircut and bath surprisingly enough.

Buddy had a few bad days there last week; I think I had mentioned that somewhere along the way but he seems to have perked up again the last few days and especially after his hair cut. Maybe he was just too hot and uncomfortable to be hungry. He’s such a little sweetheart. I see how adorable he looks in these photos and it’s just so hard to believe that he’s sick. I’ve been thinking of starting little flashbacks about cute things Buddy has done over the years in my Sunday posts too. We’ll see.

Anyhow, I hope everyone had a great weekend and that the week ahead for you all is good as well. I hope to get to some blog visiting this week – gosh I miss everyone! If only I could muster up more energy, feel great, and manage to do everything I wish I could do! Have a great week everyone!

    Love the pics of Buddy!

I'm sorry about the migraine. Lately I've been getting more and more migraines. For awhile they stopped completely and now they seem to be back. I don't know why.

    Feel better!

Dar, I hope you feel much better this week. Buddy looks so adorable – I hope he feels better too.
Wasn't The Fixer Upper fun? It was the first MKA book I read but I've read a few more since then. She's so funny.

Ugh….migraines are terrible! My husband has had them his entire life and they are just so debilitating! I'm glad you're feeling better and Buddy looks cute as a button! I love when you post pictures of him and like you said, I can't believe he's sick because he looks so great! I know a bath and a haircut always make me feel better!

I look forward to your review on Book Two of The Brothers of Gwnyedd. I ended up enjoying it even more than Book One!

    Have a great week Dar!

Buddy is a cutie! He looks good with that new hair cut. Charlee was giving the blankets on the couch the what for because he wanted to sit on the couch cushions, which is a no-no!

I really enjoyed Therese Fowler's previous book.

I hope you feel better soon.

I hope your migraine is gone and you are feeling a bit better. Glad to hear Buddy has been a little perkier at times. He looks so cute sporting his new haircut! I love hearing Buddy stories! I read Mary Kay Andrews first book and loved it. I need to read the rest of her books!

Buddy always looks so adorable after his haircuts! And I don't blame him for wilting under the heat–we're doing the same here. How old is Buddy? I'm sure I've asked before but can't remember the answer.

Hi Dar, sorry to hear about the migraine. Hope it's gone completely by now. I was also suffering from it two days ago and it's confirmed triggered by chocs. I love chocs but my head doesn't like it. Sigh.

I love all the pics of Buddy. I want more of Buddy! 😀

Sorry to hear about the migraine–I hate the ones that just don't seem to want to go away!

Buddy looks adorable with his haircut; you would never guess to look at him how sick he's been.

I hope both you and Buddy are having a good week.
I'm sure he felt all clean and fresh like clean clothes hung out on a line after his bath and cut.
He surely looks handsome in his pictures.
I would enjoy hearing your flashbacks.

I read Green Darkness several years ago and liked it quite a bit. Was surprising. Look forward to your review.

I'm very late with my comment, Dar, but I wanted to tell you how sorry I am that you spent the weekend dealing with a migraine, that's just awful. I hope your week has been better and you are pain free. I am also sorry to hear that Buddy had some bad days but I'm thrilled that he's perked up and feeling better. The heat can be so stifling. I know it makes me want to just lie around and do little else including eat. My cats just flop anywhere and move as little as possible! Maybe it was the heat just getting to Budyy. It sounds like he loves his haircut, he definitely looks very handsome with it! Buddy is an adorable dog! I hope he has a good weekend and feels good the rest of the summer.

I hope you have a good weekend!
