November 2010 Wrap Up

December 3, 2010 by Darlene

I did get a few books read for November although I didn’t write any reviews until the end of the month. Here’s the short list…as you can see it is doubtful I will make 100 books this year but that’s ok – there is always next year. There were more important things this year than worrying about meeting challenges.

  1. The Snow Globe by Sheila Roberts (176 pages)
  2. Halo by Alexandra Adornetto (496 pages)
  3. City of Bones by Cassandra Clare (512 pages)
  4. Faefever by Karen Marie Moning (416 pages)
  5. Wishin’ and Hopin’ by Wally Lamb (288 pages)

November 2010: 5 books, 1888 pages

Year to Date 2010: 76 books, 25, 767 pages

My favorite was The Snow Globe by Sheila Roberts. I really enjoyed it. Next up was definitely City of Bones – I still can’t wait to get to the next book.

I have only managed 1 and half books all month.

I stay away from challenges as I fear I could not keep up.
I am starting my own personal challenge this coming year but without a specific count.

    enjoy ur weekend!

I haven't counted mine yet, so I will have to get that done and try and write a post for it. Well done Dar, on reading so well for a difficult month.

I signed up for the 100+ challenge knowing I was not going to complete it. I mostly wanted to keep a running list of what I read this year…but I think it will be over 50 so that's good for me!

With everything you have dealt with this year I'm surprised you read as many books as you did…so congrats on that!

I've started keeping track of what I read and what I listen too. I made some goals of audio books, and library books and didn't do too bad.

Hope you and Sammy have fun this weekend. They are talking snow here. We've missed most of it so far so I guess we're due.

sometimes reading has to take a back seat..one reason I never do challenges.

I wont be making my 100 book goal this year either. But life is too short to be worrying over the little things like that 🙂

You're so right about other things being more important than book challenges!!!

I'm no where near reaching my goal of 100 books. Maybe next year 🙂 Althought I've said that for the past two years but hey maybe in 2011. It still sounds like you had a good month of reading!!

Despite everything going on, it still looks like you did really good! Plus, you have a nice selection of books there. I really need to read those Faefever books sometimes soon, since they are getting such great buzz!

Yvonne, The Snow Globe was really good. I wish I could have read it a little closer to Christmas but either way I loved it. I hope you get a chance to read it.
