GIVEAWAY: Win a Copy of Sins of the House of Borgia by Sarah Bower

February 9, 2011 by Darlene

I’ve got a fantastic giveaway for you all! Sourcebooks as we all know are one of the best publishers out there and they just happen to have come across some extra galley copies of Sins of the House of Borgia by Sarah Bower which is to release March 8, 2011. They very graciously offered up copies for giveaway so I threw my name in the hat and was lucky enough to come up with a copy to share with you all!

About the Book

Violante isn’t supposed to be here, in one of the grandest courts of Renaissance Italy. She isn’t supposed to be a lady-in-waiting to the beautiful Lucrezia Borgia. But the same secretive politics that pushed Lucrezia’s father to the Vatican have landed Violante deep in a lavish landscape of passion and ambition.

Violante discovers a Lucrezia unknown to those who see only a scheming harlot, and all the whispers about her brother, Cesare Borgia, never revealed the soul of the man who dances close with Violante.

But those who enter the House of Borgia are never quite the same when they leave—if they leave at all. Violante’s place in history will test her heart and leave her the guardian of dangerous secrets she must carry to the grave.

GIVEAWAY DETAILS

This giveaway is a bit different in that Sourcebooks wanted us to be a little creative so this is what you’ll have to answer to enter to win a copy of Sins of the House of Borgia by Sarah Bower before its release date on March 8, 2011…

  • For 1 entry tell me who your favorite historical figure is and be sure to leave a way to contact you with this comment. Entries that do not tell me your favorite historical figure will be deleted.
  • For 2 entries follow my blog. If you already do, let me know in your comment. The extra entry is yours as well.
  • For 3 entries, blog or tweet this giveaway to spread the word!

This giveaway is different too in that it’s going to be a short one because Sourcebooks wants you to be able to enjoy this book before the release date. The giveaway will be open to US and Canadian residents only (no PO boxes) and I will draw for the winner on Sunday, February 13, 2011. Good luck to everyone!

My favorite historical figure is definitely Anne Boleyn. I've been in awe of her since I was around 10 years old and I came across a book about her at my grandmothers and read it. The Borgia's are also an amazing family to read about!

So many great historical figures… it is hard to pick just one… but at the moment, I'd have to say Ruth (Woman in the Bible). I have read a few historical fiction books about her life and love her story. 🙂
