Sunday Ramblings & Pics of Sammy

March 13, 2011 by Darlene

Good morning! How is everyone this morning? Did you all have a good weekend – do anything exciting? Or be like me and do pretty much zilch! As I said yesterday I mostly chased Sam around or watched him play in the snow which was fun too. It’s still much too cold here for comfort and we’ve gotten snow on and off but not as much as they had said we might get thank goodness.

On the reading front I haven’t been doing too bad. I’m really just reading for my tours and from authors if I have. I’ve been lucky and gotten to read a lot of good books lately. This week is a slower week for me so I’ll have to fill in with something or another. Here’s the plan so far…

Monday – Review of The Bird House by Kelly Simmons – I am loving this book! I will be drooling big time!

Tuesday – Odds are it’ll be a Teaser Tuesday post.

Wednesday – I hope my review of Dark Mirror by M.J. Putney

Thursday – Review of The Other Life by Ellen Meister

Friday – very likely a Friday Finds post.

Thank goodness we have all these fill in kind of posts we can do! Anyhow, I’m starting Dark Mirror today so odds are, especially if it’s good, I may end up finishing it yet. What are you reading? Anything good?

Now on to Sammy – his little tummy is still giving him problems on and off so when he decides to go play and cause trouble it’s nice to see. I’m starting to wonder if maybe he’s just starting to get older and maybe he doesn’t like eating in the morning anymore. It seems by afternoon he’ll eat especially if there is fresh hamburger to go along with his crunchies. He’s definitely spoiled already and I, of course, am paying the price. Yet, he’s so worth it. He brings a lot of happiness and that was sorely needed after losing the Budster.

I do have some pictures to share with you guys but I can’t even begin to tell you how hard it is to get pictures of this little guy. Well he’s not exactly little – he’s almost 20 lbs already. Anyhow as soon as I bring out the camera the little bugger will get up and walk away. Not to mention I can call his name until I’m blue in the face trying to get a picture and he just ignores me. I do however need a new camera – that’s next on my list. Does anyone have a really good digital camera that they love? Let me know because I know next to nothing about what is a good camera to buy. Here’s Sammy…

This is a pretty good bone, now that I’ve discovered bones, but it keeps slipping onto the floor…
You know I’m going to move over here a bit but, let’s see, there is still the problem of mommy with that danged camera. I think I’m going to have to get up and walk away very soon…

Ok, time for a nappy but wouldn’t you know it – there’s mommy with that danged camera again! Maybe I should consider chewing it or something…

Have a great week everyone! I’ll be trying my darndest to visit everyone’s blogs this week on a more regular basis. I hope you’ll join me on my blog this week!

Hi, Dar, just stopped in to get my Sammy fix! He's really growing and is so adorable!

Glad your reading has been going along so smoothly. Mine's picked up, thankfully.

    Have a great week!

He is too funny….he just may get a hold of your camera yet. Lily somehow managed to get a coupon off the counter last night and ate it…4.00 off her dog food coupon!! She's so ADD, especially around 7 pm- 10 pm…she drives me batty at times but having a dog around makes for such fun doesn't it??? I went grocery shopping yesterday and am now finishing up laundry. I feel like I'm ahead of the game today…catching up on blogs, writing 2 reviews for later this week, and hopefully getting a chance to do some genealogy research later this afternoon. We're hoping to have temps in the 50's later this week…so can't wait to say goodbye to the snow!!

Have a good week my friend!!

It looks like you will still have a busy week around the blog! I'm behind with a couple of reviews so I'm hoping to get ahead of the game and catch up this week. Plus, I really would like to get some quality reading in today. I love all of the pictures of Sammy that you share…he is so cute! Hope you have a great week!

Not too much going on here… just getting caught up after our trip. I started reading Wolf Hall the other day – it's one long book! The pictures are adorable. Have a great week!

They totally know when you need them to behave, and they ignore you on purpose! I am convinced! I am going down a very bad path right now with our guinea pig…not eating or drinking…and I'm starting to get this feeling of impending doom that things are not going to end well (and will end with me flat broke!). Funny how these animals grab ahold of your heart and won't let go!

Can't go all week without a little Sammy loving. I think he is utterly adorable and I always look forward to these posts. I hope his tummy settles down soon.

Darlene that rascal is too cute and unlike you our spring has sprung, nice temperate weather all weekend and lots of sunshine yesterday to enjoy…

Now if only the Pine trees were not blooming and putting pollen everywhere for the next month we would be great on the allergy front too, however everything around is budding out and blooming these days…

Nice to see Sammy and his happy little tousled face in the pics, hope you have a good week to make up for the Blah weekend!

Lol, well at least you got a few pics of Sammy 🙂 It's like when I try to take a pic of one of my parents cats, he always closes his eyes

What a sweet photo of Sammy trying to take a nap. Geez, mom, you can even let him sleep, LOL? 🙂

Cooper has spring fever. The yard is too muddy to go outside to play fetch and chasing his ball down the hallway just doesn't burn much energy. Hoping we'll be able to get back to walking in the park soon!

Aw, Sammy is so precious. I have to tell you, I don't think a non-spoiled dog is worth having in the house!

It sounds like you have a laid back sort of week going on this time around, and I totally envy you that! I have so much to do this week that it's driving me nuts already! It sounds like Sammy is acting a little coy around the camera, that sly one! The photos that you did manage to capture were great though! I hope you have an amazing and relaxing week ahead, and I look forward to reading about what you have coming up this week!

What is it with small dogs and the camera? They don't seem to like for us to take pictures of them, do they?

Our dog, Chloe, didn't seem to want to eat yesterday but I do believe she is cutting some teeth, so that could be why. I'm not sure. I think at 7 months she should have most of them in but she seems to want to chew more than usual.

Love those Sammy pictures! He is such a little ragamuffin! So cute.
We went to church and rain a few errands. Then we went to homemade chicken or beef noodle dinner at the local Methodist church. David went back to town in the afternoon to work on mounting a projector at church. All the lots are muddy but today the top is froze. The horses are hating walking in it.
Finished listening to "Here Lies the Librarian" and started on "the Trumpet of the Swan". Picked up a copy of "Catcher in the Rye" at the library but haven't started it yet.
    Have a great week!

Sammy knows how to ignore his mommy. LOL! Love the pictures, Dar! I haven't been reading much (gasp!) and it's almost end of March already.
