Wedding Night by Sophie Kinsella: Book Spotlight & Giveaway (3 copies-US/Canada)

June 8, 2013 by Darlene

I’ve got a treat for you all today with a feature on Sophie Kinsella’s newest novel Wedding Night.  I have read all of her shopaholic books and loved them as well as many of her stand alone novels.  She’s always been a favorite author of mine and I never fail to enjoy her books.  I’m anxious to either read or listen to this one soon!  Today I’ll tell you a bit about the book and some other things and make sure to enter the giveaway at the end of the post for your chance to win one of three copies of what I’m sure is going to be another fantastic book from Sophie Kinsella!

Wedding Night cover

About Wedding Night

Lottie just knows that her boyfriend is going to propose during lunch at one of London’s fanciest restaurants. But when his big question involves a trip abroad, not a trip down the aisle, she’s completely crushed. So when Ben, an old flame, calls her out of the blue and reminds Lottie of their pact to get married if they were both still single at thirty, she jumps at the chance. No formal dates—just a quick march to the altar and a honeymoon on Ikonos, the sun-drenched Greek island where they first met years ago.

Their family and friends are horrified. Fliss, Lottie’s older sister, knows that Lottie can be impulsive—but surely this is her worst decision yet. And Ben’s colleague Lorcan fears that this hasty marriage will ruin his friend’s career. To keep Lottie and Ben from making a terrible mistake, Fliss concocts an elaborate scheme to sabotage their wedding night. As she and Lorcan jet off to Ikonos in pursuit, Lottie and Ben are in for a honeymoon to remember, for better…or worse.

I’ve never read any of her books but this sounds like something I’d love to get lost in at the beach. I think I’ll try a sample. I’m bogged down reading NOS4A2. It’s a cool book but so long and drawn out. I might just have to take a break from it and this light novel sounds like the ticket.
