ABOUT MEET ME AT THE CUPCAKE CAFE
Baking is in Issy Randall’s blood. Growing up above her grandfather’s bakery taught Issy that a delicious pastry could make any day better. So when she’s laid off from her desk job—by the man she thought was her boyfriend, no less—Issy knows now is the time to start her own little café.
Armed with her grandfather’s tried and true recipes, as well as her own new dishes, Issy’s new dream job should be a piece-of-cake, right? But managing a café, delivering products on time and trying to have a new love life aren’t exactly going as Issy planned. And when her ex comes back into the picture, perhaps with his own motives, Issy’s search for the perfect pastry and a groundbreaking idea to save her café are much more than she bargained for…

ABOUT JENNY COLGAN
Jenny Colgan was a fussy eater as a child and didn’t even begin to learn to cook until she was 21, when her then boyfriend tried to teach her a few basics purely out of exasperation. While she is now able to make a variety of good, wholesome food for her family, she still can’t make scones. A former columnist for The Guardian, Jenny contributes regularly to national BBC radio and is the bestselling author of more than eleven novels, including The Loveliest Chocolate Shop in Paris (coming out in the US in early 2014). She is married with three children and lives in London and France. For more information, please visit http://www.jennycolgan.com/ and follow her on Twitter, @JennyColgan.

Ice cream and cookies.
I would pick brownies. Thanks for this wonderful giveaway.
You only want me to list one favorite, LOL? I’d say it’s a toss up between sticky buns and stroop wafels (caramel filled, crispy cookies). See, I couldn’t pick just one! 🙂
I shared on Facebook, too.
Delectable treat is chocolate mousse. Lovely giveaway.
There are too many baked goods out there that I love. 😀 But if I had to choose, it would have to be chocolate chunk cookies, with extra chocolate.
My favorite memory is baking Toll House cookies and brownies with my mom when I was a child.
Thank you for hosting this terrific giveaway, Darlene. I will post it in my blog’s sidebar. 🙂
Mille-Feuilles are my indulgence. Thanks.
I never met a bakery sweet I didn’t like! But, my specialty to bake is Walnut-Rum cake. I make it in all sizes from Bitelette to Bundtlette.
I love chocolate cake.
I love to bake and enjoy giving them to friends. My favorite is a brownie recipe that I have.
Did like this and tweet.
Believe it or not, but my favorite baked goods are cupcakes. They are right sized and just delicious. My children and grandchildren love for me to make them for them because I add my real, homemade buttercream frosting. Yummy! This is another reason I was drawn to the cover and the book here by Jenny. Would so love to win a copy of this yummy book!

I love all kinds of baked goods. In fact I’m working on a diet that’s just pastries and fresh fruit. Sure, you don’t get skinny but you’re tremendously happy most of the time.

Yum, baked goods…is it fare to say I love them all?! Hmmm I guess for the nostalgia and sheer yumminess — banana muffins.

It’s chocolate mocha cake with mocha frosting that I make for my middle son(24) every year for his birthday. We’re the only ones in the family that eat it – I do not complain ;).
Lovely giveaway, Darlene and the book sounds delicious! Love the cover! My favourite baked delights~ Good gracious~ there are far too many to name! Used to love baking with my children when they were small and now with my grandchildren ~ They always want cookies and cupcakes. Both are faves with me and of course chocolate cake and red velvet are sinfully delicious as well as spice cake or coconut and coffee cake and pies, oh my~ and I always Love Hummingbird Cake! Nothing like a kitchen filled with the heart-warming aroma of something tasty baking in the oven! Can’t wait to read this book and have added it to my TBR List~ Thank you and Happy Reading and Writing~ Cheers~ Elizabeth MacGregor
My favorite baked good is Orange Kiss-Me Cake that my mom used to make. I have wonderful memories of making it with her. My job was to crank the grinder to grind together the oranges, walnuts and raisins. I still use that grinder to this day.

My favorite baked good would be cherry pie. However, my most meaningful memory baking sugar cookies with Jiffy white frosting with my mom and siblings. We made them for St. Patrick’s Day (clover), Easter (bunnies and eggs), 4th of July (stars), Halloween (pumpkins, ghosts, and bats), Thanksgiving (turkeys) and Christmas (Santa, star, gingerbread man, candy cane, ornament, and teddy bear). I don’t make them for all the holidays above, but have all my mom’s cookie cutters and I keep Jiffy frosting in freezer (so hard to find it in NY).
My favorite baked good is my homemade cherry pudding as they use to call it. Also my apple dumpling pies. I could eat them all in one day they are so good.

When I first saw this book, I wasn’t particularly interested in reading it, but I’ve seen enough good reviews now. I think I will try it.
One of my favorite baked goods (I like them all!) is Gooey Butter Cake!
My favorite baked good is any and all. But for my husband’s birthday for 34 years I bake him a homemade peach pie every year. It got interrupted before his 39th birthday while I had our youngest daughter – we just had it a week later.
I am not hard to please – if it is dessert, I like it.

My mom’s cheesecake and creme puffs. Only a memory now.

I love to eat and make bundt cakes.
How do I choose a favorite……I love sweets!
My favorite memory is that of my grandmother cooking. She would always make it look so easy, especially rice pudding. She would never measure, just a handful of this and a pinch of that and it always tasted so good.
