Christmas at the Beach (Novella) by Wendy Wax

October 23, 2013 by Darlene

christmas

Christmas at the Beach by Wendy Wax is a novella that sets up the next novel to come in her popular Ten Beach Road series. I have been hooked on this series from the beginning first reading Ten Beach Road and then Ocean Beach. I have become hopelessly entwined in the lives of all the women and it was fun to spend a little Christmas time with them!

All of the ladies: Madeline, Avery, Nicole, Deirdre, and Kyra and of course we can’t forget the sweet baby boy Dustin are spending Christmas at Bella Flora – the very first historic home they renovated. In the pages of this novella we get caught up on our favorite characters lives along with finding out where their next project will be located. There were most definitely some interesting developments and I’m curious to see what will come next.

I really enjoyed my Christmas visit with my favorite ladies and the adorable Dustin and recommend to Ten Beach Road fans for sure! At the end we are treated to a preview of the next Ten Beach Road novel entitled The House on Mermaid Point which is expected in July of 2014. I can’t wait!

Christmas at the Beach by Wendy Wax is available as an eBook at Amazon, Amazon Canada, and B&N

Yeah isn’t the next one in the Keys? I’m all over that! I really liked Ten Beach Road more than Ocean Beach, but she has a great group of ladies with good chemistry. And how can you not love Wendy? She is a treasure.

Sandy, yes the next one is in the Keys. I can’t wait for it! Have you met Wendy? You all are so lucky that get to meet some of my favorite authors.

I know I need to read Wendy Wax and was planning to start with While We Were Watching Downton Abbey, but would definitely love this series. Maybe Ten Beach Road should be first.

JoAnn, I haven’t had a chance to listen to While We Were Watching Downton Abbey but I know for sure that I love this series. You should try listening to them. I listened to Ocean Beach and had really enjoyed it on audio.

Lol Linda. I’d love a Christmas at the beach especially with how cold it is here in the winter.

I will have to watch for her books. I want to read this one. Our book club always enjoys a Christmas book for December’s read. I will tell them about this one. Thank you

Diane this particular one is only about 50 some pages so not sure you’d want it for a monthly read but if you’re not looking for a Christmas one you could always start with the first in the series Ten Beach Road.

I agree Lily especially as in a series like this one you really get to know the characters. It’s just nice to spend time with them – kind of like with old friends. lol.
