Keep Dancing by Leslie Wells & Rafflecopter Giveaway for a ‘Happily Ever After’ Diamond Ring!

May 1, 2015 by Darlene

danceKeep Dancing by Leslie Wells is a sequel to Come Dancing (my review) and the continuation of Jack and Julia’s story.  There is also a little Christmas novella called Dancing with Mistletoe which is really sweet too.  I love this series because of Jack and Julia.  They are hilarious as they wade their way through the ups and downs of a relationship.  Add to the mix that Jack is a famous rock star and Julia just a tad insecure in their relationship and you have a recipe for disaster at times.  Adding even more fuel to the fire is Julia, now on the rise at a publishing company, wanting to focus on her career while Jack may be looking for a bit more in terms of a family life.   Yes, we’re talking some sparks flying!

Keep Dancing carries on right where Come Dancing ends so we’re still in the 1980’s when things were so much different.  You couldn’t track down your mate by texting them or when your famous rock star boyfriend goes on tour you don’t have the option of catching him on Skype to make sure he’s behaving himself.  No you just have to muddle through your worries and hope for the best.  And when two people have the incredibly bad communication skills that Jack and Julia have, well then you know there is going to be trouble.

So briefly Keep Dancing finds twenty-four year old Julia finally making it in the publishing world and she’s never been more motivated to succeed than she is now.  She’s living with Jack and things seem to be going fairly well although Julia still has issues with completely trusting Jack.  How do you trust a man who constantly has women fawning over him?  It’s even harder when Jack doesn’t always make it home when he should.  Yet things are progressing … until they aren’t.  Jack has a huge tour and Julia a new bestselling author that she can’t ignore.  Jack is feeling neglected and Julia is feeling angry.  All it takes is one night for everything to crumble.

I thought this book was a great follow up to the first one.  You could read it on its own but I think you’d really be missing out by not seeing how Jack and Julia came to be in the first place.  For me these books are an escape.  I get to enter Jack and Julia’s not so perfect world at times and it’s so much fun.  They both have great personalities and together they are sizzling which reminds me to let my readers that don’t like a lot of steamy sex in their books that they should steer clear.  If you don’t mind though you’ll definitely be fanning yourself through this one!  It’s a great series and I’m hoping there is still more to come from Jack and Julia.  Highly recommended.

I LOVED the first book! Can’t wait to get my hands on this one. (btw, you know if you ever read Rock Fiction, you’re more than welcome to cross-post the review at The Rock of Pages. I’d love it!)
