Happy Sunday all! What has everyone been up to this weekend? Ours has been a quiet one but that’s exactly what I like. Walking the dog and relaxing with books or tv is an awesome way to spend a few days. Last weekend was horrible here. We got well over a foot of snow. It just kept falling and falling. Poor little Sam doesn’t do so well without us shovelling paths for him.
As you’ve seen from the past week I’ve been getting back into blogging. I hope to keep it up this time around. I’ve missed it and really I’ve missed the connections I had to everyone in the community. So the past week was a busy one with these reviews going up:
I Know You by Annabel Kantaria (Audiobook)
Keep Your Friends Close by Paula Daly (Audiobook)
Wednesday Book Love – The Huntress by Kate Quinn
The Ex-Wife by Jess Ryder (Audiobook)
I’m currently listening to When You Find Me by P.J. Vernon narrated by Amy McFadden and Bahni Turpin. It doesn’t get any better when you have a good book and two narrators you really like. I’m reading The Huntress by Kate Quinn and I Invited Her In by Adele Parks which releases February 5/2019. Both are very good so far.
As far as television goes I have a few series going on. I’m watching Parenthood which I really like and Orphan Black which is really good as well. I’m really hoping to get out next weekend to see the new Clint Eastwood movie The Mule. I’ve always really liked him and I’m so looking forward to seeing it.
That’s it for me this week. I’m going to settle in and finish my audiobook and have some coffee. Pop in and let me know what you’re reading or watching. I’m always on the lookout for new books or good shows. Hope you all have a great week ahead!
We got a little snow during the night and then it rained and now it’s sleeting so everything’s a slick mess.
Kathy I know what you mean. It poured here today over all that snow. It is a skating rink. Not good at all. Poor Sam and me are sliding all over.
We’ve had snow twice I think but we’re back to bare ground at the moment. As for tv I’m catching up on past seasons of The Great British Baking Show. And all the Food Network Christmas baking competition shows. Love those. I’m adding When You Find Me to my audible wish list. I love both narrators. I’ve been reading some Christmas novels from my own kindle stash lately. Have a good week and give Sam a pet for me 🙂
You’re lucky to have no snow Mary. We got rain today on top of the snow. Not good for us here and really unusual for winter. It’s a skating rink out there. I’ll give Sam a snuggle for you.
I’m reading Santa Puppy by Lynn Cahoon and listening to The Noel Diary by Richard Paul Evans. I’ve been watching a lot of Christmas movies and last night I watched Dumplin’ and I’ve loved them all!
Poor little Sam! 🙁
Vicki, I’m going to sit and watch Christmas shows tonight with my tree lit and some hot chocolate. I love Christmas shows.
My daughter would love it if we got a little snow here, although I don’t think she would appreciate the cold. At least the leaves are finally falling off our trees. We did get a big rainstorm the other day. I can now see snow on the mountain tops in the distance. It sounds like you’ve had a very nice weekend. I could use a quiet one. They are so rare these days. I need to get back to Orphan Black when I can. I really enjoy that show. I hope you have a great week, Darlene!
Wendy, I bet she’d love the snow. It’s nice when it’s warm out. Today we had pouring rain. Not good for us. I’d like to live somewhere it didn’t snow but my roots are here so I guess I just suck it up. Hope you have a good week as well.
Glad you are back to blogging and Sam is just too cute! I love a nice quiet weekend also. That’s alot of snow! We had a snowstorm a few weeks back but that’s it here so far. Enjoy your week!
Hey Naida, I’m glad to be back as well. Too much snow for me! Thanks for popping in.
It’s good to see you blogging again! We came up from Florida before Thanksgiving and will stay through Christmas… we’ve had snow on the ground the whole time. I’m definitely getting my fill of winter. 😉
JoAnn, lol. I had my fill the first time it snowed. Not sure why I live here but I do. Thanks for popping by.
I like to be cozy but I don’t think I could deal with real weather on a regular basis. I will be a counselor at winter camp this February and I am already freaked out about it because I am not useful in cold weather at all. Or, hot weather. I don’t like the extremes.
Ti, it doesn’t get too cold there at any time does it? Camp sounds fun though. I won’t lie. As I’m getting older and with my health issues the cold and fluctuations in temps really do bother me.
