So I’m really into podcasts. I like them because they are like little bites. I can fit in an hour here or there when I don’t feel like delving into an audiobook. My favourites are anything to do with crime. So I’m going to list some of the ones I like to listen to but what id really like to know is if you all like to listen to them and what you listen to. I’m always on the lookout for new ones.
I’ll talk about two of my favourites for today:
Casefile – I love this podcast. It’s a different case each week although on some they will spend a few episodes. Some are cases I’m familiar with that I’ve heard about in the news or on a crime show (which I’m also addicted to) but others are new to me. The episodes are about an hour sometimes more. Many are quite graphic but there is a clear warning before you listen as to the content that could be disturbing to some. It’s a really interesting podcast and I love the voice of the narrator. I wanted to know who he was but he wants to be anonymous. Either way he has a voice I could listen to for hours.
Serial – I’ve listened to this one from the beginning. I loved the first season, the second not as much but the third one was awesome. They go inside the courtroom and discuss some cases and how the criminal justice system works and it was very interesting.
How about everyone else? Any faves to share?
I’m sure it will come as no surprise when I say I don’t listen to crime podcasts. One of my kids does and even attended a live podcast last year. I can’t remember which one.
I tend to listen to podcasts about books. Also, Satellite Sisters. They were among the first wave of podcasts out there.
I don’t listen to either of those but I do listen to petinsider, Bobby Bones, I Hate Green Beans, Nerdette, Satellite Sisters, The Disney Story Origins, The Happy Hour with Jamie Ivey, What Should I Read Next?, Meet The Author, and All The Books.
We listen to Crime Junkie Podcast at work every week. It has two best friends (who are dog lovers) that chat about interesting cases! I haven’t heard of Casefile and will have to check it out!
