Happy Sunday everyone! I can’t believe how fast this week flew by. What has everyone been up to? Are more places opening up in your area? They have been here. However they opened up some skating parks and such and ended up closing them again as people weren’t practicing social distancing. When I’ve been out most people aren’t even wearing masks. It’s so hard to know what to do anymore with it being such a different reality.
Well the garden is in and has started growing. It really came up fast this year. I was surprised. We’ve got tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, carrots, onions, and potatoes planted. I love summer for all these signs of life. It just makes a person feel better to feel the sun on your face and see flowers and things growing again.
I did miss a couple of days for posts but I’m pretty impressed that I remember most of the time. I still have a backlog of reviews to write. I’m just finishing the audio of When You Disappeared by John Marrs. I really enjoy his books. I’ll likely have the review up on Monday. I also reread The Seven Sisters by Lucinda Riley for my book club. I had read it before but I was curious to see if I still liked it as much. I’m happy to say I’d still give it 5 stars. This time though I’m planning on finishing up the whole series. The only other thing I did this past week was give Sam a haircut and a bath. He’s ok with a bath but he hates a haircut now with a passion.

That’s about all for me this week. Not much planned other than getting my hair done. It’ll be really weird to wear a mask and gloves in the hair salon. Hope you all have a great week ahead!
Nice job on Sam’s haircut.
I am working through the Seven Sisters series on audiobook! I think The Moon Sister might be my next listen, unless something else catches my attention!
Marg, I’m just going to start the second one. Lol on something else catching your attention. I’m so bad for that too!
My 16-year-old son has been touching up my roots and he’s done just as good a job as my hairdresser! Sam looks so cute.
I’ve been meaning to read Seven Sisters. I have several books from this author on my bookshelf.
Laura, that’s great that your son can do your roots for you! I wish. I’m a little anxious about it but it should be ok with a mask and gloves.
I’ve always groomed my dog myself. She was always too nervous with anyone else. She doesn’t have nearly as much of a coat as your pup does though.
Everything here is pretty much open or will be by the weekend. Many are not wearing masks anymore. The greenlight to open means for many, that COVID is over. Which of course is not true and will be proven in the coming weeks, especially with all the protests we have had in California.
That’s the reality here too–so many people heard re-opening and thought that meant the crisis was over and aren’t wearing masks or social distancing. It makes me very reluctant to want to re-enter society. Our hair salons aren’t open yet–at least not officially. I hope your appointment goes well!
I am glad your garden is doing so well! It must be nice to be able to work in it.
Sam looks so adorable. 🙂 Love his haircut. Nina just knocked my daughter’s princess tent down again. I think we only keep it up now to see how many times a day the cat will do it.
Have a great week, Darlene.
