The Last Thing He Told Me is a domestic thriller and I enjoyed it. I’ve never read anything by this author but I see she has quite a few books. I will at some point have to try another of hers.
Hannah thought she had the perfect marriage. Really the only thing that troubled her was that it seemed as though her stepdaughter Bailey would never accept her. Then her husband Owen up and disappears without a trace. The only thing he leaves behind is a note saying Protect Her, meaning his daughter Bailey. Then the FBI and a US Marshall enter the picture and Owen’s boss is arrested. Hannah is so confused. What had Owen gotten himself into? As Hannah and Bailey come together to try and figure out what happened to Owen what becomes clear is that Hannah never really knew her husband at all.
The audiobook is narrated by Rebecca Lowman who does a great job and suited this story well. I’ve listened to many books narrated by her and I like the tone of her voice so it’s always enjoyable to listen to her. The Last Thing He Told Me was a good listen for me and I would say it’s suited to the reader who likes a slower paced type of thriller.
