What I’m most looking forward to is My Name is Emilia del Valle by Isabel Allende. This releases on May 6 so keep a look out for a review. It sounds so good and I can’t wait to get into it. It’s a historical novel and it’s been a while since I read one. I used to read so many and then just stopped although I don’t know why since I still really enjoy them. I’m currently listening to Happy Land by Dolan Perkins-Valdez and I’m enjoying it so much. One of the narrators is Bahni Turpin who I love listening to so that adds even more to the book for me. Sadly I did give up on Americanah. I’m sure it appeals to a vast majority of people just not me. At least not right now. Sometimes I find I can go back to a book and I’ll breeze right through it. It’s just a matter of mood I think. I didn’t get too far with television. I’m just managing to finish up on You. The fifth season is really good. Not sure what’s next.
I also learned that my sign up button isn’t working on my blog and that my posts aren’t going out to anyone so if you make it to the blog and wonder why you haven’t received anything that’s why. It’s currently being fixed and should be up and running in a bit. I’m sure I’ll find a few more things since it’s been a good long while since I’ve blogged. Life has thrown me a few curve balls over the last few years but I’m here to hopefully get back into the swing of things again.
